My brothers and all people of good will,

It doesn’t take much to realize the world and our county is in a really bad way. Violence on our streets and in the world, wars, rumors of wars are just a few of what could be a laundry list of problems that we all face daily. Worse of all, there is clearly a global loss of faith acting as a root system nourishing the many problems aforementioned.

At our Catholic Men for Jesus Christ conference a few weeks ago, we discussed the idea of storming heaven with prayers of repentance and mercy for our nation. Since then, many others have proposed similar initiative’s across the country - each and all efforts are noble and good.

With this, CMJC proposes the prayer below as part of a national effort to petition heaven for help. We propose forty days of prayer starting on the feast of St Joseph (March 19th) and concluding on April 27th. The below prayer is recommended, and if willing, followed by a Rosary or Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Finally, if you watch the news for even just a few minutes, you could easily be discouraged. I remind you all that we are a people of hope with the Gospel being good news. Nineveh was spared from destruction because they heard the voice of the Lord through Jonah. We too can rally to the cross and cry up to heaven with spiritual ashes to assuage Gods rightful justice. Let’s do this brothers (and I add our sisters). “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Eph 2:10

God bless you all,

Catholic Men for Jesus Christ
